Twilight makes the light on your phone or tablet screen adapt to the time of day. This is particularly good if you tend to look at your phone or laptop before bed.
What is it?
If you struggle to fall asleep at night, your phone or tablet screen may be the culprit. Recent research has shown that the blue light emitted from phone and computer screens may be affecting our sleep cycle. The unnaturally bright lights make our brains think it’s still daylight out, which may suppress the production of melatonin (a sleep hormone) and make it harder to fall asleep. Twilight takes care of that problem by filtering out the blue light after sunset and replacing it with a soft, red filter. The filter smoothly adjusts to the sunset and sunrise times based on where you live.
