Annie is a senior from Boston, Massachusetts. She’s president of the Boston Latin Community Development Corps, fellow of the Deitch Leadership Institute Fellowship, and a violinist.
Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
“Hopefully I’ll be working in the State Department and will be able to travel to many new and exciting places because of my job. Maybe I’ll even end up living in another country, eating my heart out, and experiencing the dream of a lifetime.”
How do you give back to your community?
“I am president of the Boston Latin Community Development Corps, and my club has hosted volunteer sessions with various local organizations that rely on the hard work of volunteers in order to improve the lives of all Bostonians. We’ve hosted donation drives to benefit organizations dedicated to providing support for those who require it and to advocate to students about these causes. Earlier this year, we hosted a book donation drive for an organization that supports the development of prisoners before and after their release. We’re currently hosting a feminine hygiene product drive in the hopes of providing sanitary products for homeless women living in shelters who lack the necessary items for their menstrual cycle.”
